El Lago Verde, Lanzarote, Spain

Second time to Lanzarote and during my first trip I had to miss this beautiful sight. It is kind of hard to get a good view from the tourist path that stops far too far from the actual lake. It was only back at home when I heard that there is another way around the mountain and you actually can get up close. Also, I should have been tipped off by the fact that that white rope isn't there to keep the water out, hehe. Pretty neat that everybody seems to make the same mistake though, no peoples in my pictures!

Oh and I forgot to mention, it's an HDR picture too! Tried to give it the HDR edge whilst keeping it natural . Double tonemapped using Photomatix.
